| Velvet Boutique was founded by Jeda Pearl Lewis, who met other like-minded Scottish designers while setting up her own label Jeda Pearl. Jeda trained at the renowned Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, graduating with a First Class BDes Hons in Printed Textiles and Fashion. Following her work experience at Vivienne Westwood studios in London and after competing in the finals of international graduate fashion competitions at NIFT in Delhi, India and Mittelmode in Como, Italy, Jeda settled back in her hometown of Edinburgh to develop her business ideas. She now juggles motherhood with Velvet Boutique, working with numerous designers who are determined to live and work in bonny Scotland. |

"While setting up I met so many talented Scottish designers and wanted to provide a supportive platform for them to showcase their exceptional work. Not only have I been able to turn my dream of an e-boutique into reality, but I've had the honour of working with exceptional designers on a wide range of different consultancy projects.
"Each product online is special as they are passionately created by the designers themselves, ensuring you receive unique, carefully crafted items by emerging designers that are very hard to come by, with some even being one-off pieces. I only showcase collections that I think you will get sheer pleasure from, but here are a few of my personal favourites!" |
