| Sporran-nation is the design practice of Jennifer Cantwell, a designer/maker based in the Highlands. From her Inverness studio she produces a range of limited edition and one-off contemporary unisex sporrans and bags. A bespoke and commission service is also offered. All sporran-nation bags and sporrans are based on quirky, edgy designs and are articulated in beautiful colours with an emphasis on texture, detail and finishing, external and internal. Designs range from punky streetwear through to lush feminine chic, combining a retro aesthetic with a contemporary collage element to produce tactile, vibrant and often humorous pieces. Inspiration is drawn from the eclectic visual mishmash of daily life in an urban environment, from accidental encounters with colour and from the materials themselves. All materials are sourced nationally and include leather, suede, plastic, metal, cotton, silk, buttons, zips, vintage and recycled materials and found objects. Prices range from £100 - £300. |
